Mariano Rivera was given the ball over the last two innings and helped the New York Yankees close out a 7-3 win over the Philadelphia Phillies Wednesday in Game 6 for their 27th World Series title. The Yankees won the game as -190 favorites, and the 10 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9.5). Hideki Matsui led the way with a two-run homer and six RBIs. Andy Pettitte tossed 5 2-3 innings to collect the win. Ryan Howard belted a two-run homer for the Phillies. Pedro Martinez surrendered four runs over four innings in the loss. |
